Stadt in Israel, am Mittelmeer nördlich von Tel Aviv-Jaffa, 80 200 Einwohner; Seebadeort und Diplomatenwohnsitz; Textilfabriken, Lebensmittelindustrie, Gummiverarbeitung, Kunststofferzeugung, Bau von elektrischen Geräten, Metallverarbeitung.
 
 
1942 als landwirtschaftliche Siedlung gegründet; seit 1948 völlig verstädtert.
